FAQ

Questions About This Service

How deep do you grind the stump?

We typically grind 6–12 inches below grade, which is enough to cover with soil and plant grass or build over. If you need deeper removal for a foundation or footing, let us know and we'll discuss options.

Do you remove the stump grindings?

We can leave the grindings on site as mulch or haul them off — your call. Most customers have us fill the hole with the grindings and top it with soil so the area is level.

Can you grind stumps near a fence or building?

Yes. Our grinder is maneuverable enough for tight spaces, but we'll assess access before we start. If a stump is too close to a structure to grind safely, we'll tell you up front.

Do you grind palm stumps?

Yes. Palm stumps are dense and stringy but we can grind them out. They sometimes take a little longer than hardwood stumps.
